walk along the Southbank
Starting at the glorious and historic Southwark Cathedral, we will take
you for a walk along the south bank of the Thames, along Dickensian
cobbled streets passed old riverside inns with magnificent riverside
views.
You can learn about the history of Bankside, which developed
as the entertainment side of town, including Shakespeare's Globe,
the only thatched building in central London and, in contrast, the
more recent Tate Modern Gallery and Millennium bridge.
